A 40-year-old Lincoln man was charged Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl and hitting a pregnant woman, according to court documents.
Hugo Zepeda was charged with third-degree sexual assault of a child, third-degree assault of a pregnant woman and terroristic threats.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Christmas, at about 3 a.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to a residence in the 1000 block of Claremont Street on reports of a disturbance.
The 12-year-old girl told officers Zepeda laid down on a bed next to her and attempted to kiss her before touching her chest and thigh. The girl told police she was scared of Zepeda’s actions.
A 23-year-old pregnant woman and her boyfriend entered the room, saw Zepeda on top of the 12-year-old and quickly pulled him off of her.
The pregnant woman accused Zepeda of hitting her in the neck and face area with his forearm, according to the affidavit. Zepeda also allegedly said he would kill the pregnant woman.
Police interviewed Zepeda before taking him into custody the same day.
Judge Laurie Yardley set his percentage bond at $750,000, meaning he would have to pay $75,000 to be released.
Zepeda is being held at the Lancaster County jail.
