Lincoln police arrested four people Friday night after a short chase following an SUV the four reportedly stole from a man earlier near a liquor store at 22nd and O streets.
The man called police around 9:30 p.m. to report his SUV had been stolen by four people while he was parked at Mum’s Liquor, said Lt. Brad Junker of the Lincoln Police Department.
The victim said one of the four people had pointed a firearm into his side from the backseat and told him to get out of the car, although a firearm was not recovered, Junker said.
Officers spotted the SUV, a white 2014 GMC Terrain, in the area of North 27th and W streets and their pursuit ended about 2.5 miles away in the area of North 59th and Holdrege streets.
Officers cited three of the people for robbery and one person for unlawful taking, more than $5,000. Junker said the victim knew the driver and was with three of the four individuals before the robbery occurred.
A little over a gram of cocaine was found after a search of the car, Junker said, and all four are still in police custody.
