DEKALB, Mo. — Paul D. Pierce, 69, of DeKalb, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care. He was born May 7, 1955, in St. Joseph, son of Laveta and Jack Pierce. Paul graduated from DeKalb High School, class of 1973. He married Beth Rumpf on Aug. 12, 1987, in Rushville, Missouri.

Paul spent a majority of his life as a farmer and currently was operating Pierce and Sons Farm. He loved his farm and spending time on it and time with his family.

Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Chevell Pierce in 1976; father, Jack Pierce; and brother, Craig Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Beth Pierce, of the home; mother, Laveta Pierce, of DeKalb; his children, Jerri (Nick) Magruder, of Leawood, Kansas, Samantha (Jarrett) Matthews, of Weston, Missouri, Riley Pierce (Ian Thompson), of Export, Pennsylvania, and Dylan (Madison) Pierce, of Dekalb; brother, Daryl (Tammy) Pierce, of DeKalb; grandchildren, Miles, Penny, Oliver, Marlow, Crosby, Frankie, Aker, and Harlyn; and several nieces and nephews.

A Public Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home. Private Family Funeral Services and Interment will take place at a later date. Online condolences and obituary at www.ruppfuneral.com.
