Soft-opening sessions set at children’s center

St. Joseph’s new inspireU Children’s Discovery Center doesn’t officially open until next week, but community members can get a sneak peek in the coming days.

A series of soft openings will be offered Friday through Sunday, Dec. 20 through 22 at the center, 521 Felix St. Sessions are offered from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Those interested in attending one of the soft openings can register at mlcfndn.ticketapp.org/portal/product/19/events. Admission is $12 a person for the soft openings and can only be purchased online.

The 50,000-square-foot facility includes more than 20 exhibits, a rooftop exploratorium, interactive play areas and educational spaces for children ages birth to 10 and their families.

The facility’s grand opening is set for Thursday, Dec. 26.
