A Testimony of God’s Work in Brawley

A couple of days ago one of our Brawley Feed the Need Patrons mentioned to me that he was heading to the hospital after he finished eating at the center. I asked him if he was feeling sick again, as he has a heart murmur and we have had a few close calls due to his condition. He said no, that it was S. (his girlfriend) that she had been run over a couple of days prior– it was a hit and run. He thought I already knew about the incident which I hadn’t. He said that she may not make it and was struck really bad. He said her parents were contacted to come and see her as it wasn’t looking good. They are not locals. 

My heart was crushed to hear this. As much as I wanted to go to my office and close the door and cry, I didn’t. Instead, I asked for everyone’s attention (our Patrons) and at that moment there were at least 20 – 25 of them. I began explaining and said to them, “Right now, we all need to come together and pray for her. Do all of you guys know that if we come together and pray with faith in our hearts THE LORD will hear our prayers?” And they all either said “Yes” or nodded, and some said “Amen”. Then I told them, “We’ll right now, we are going to do that. We are going to pray and believe that THE LORD will wake her up, and give her another chance to live life. But not the same way as before, but a new way.”

I looked at her boyfriend and said to him, “You know THE TRUTH, you have Experienced HIM, I know!” And he nodded “Yes!” I told him boldly, “If THE LORD wakes her up you will need to show her THE WAY” … As he looked at me, he said, “Yes” and nodded too. So, we prayed! 

In my head and in my heart I said, “LORD please come through for what we are praying for, show them WHO YOU ARE, THE MIRACLE WORKER!”

I continued to pray out loud as thoughts went through my head and my heart. I mentioned to them that GOD knows all and that HE knows best! And that though we pray she wakes up, GOD has the final say. But whatever HE chooses, it is still for the Good because that’s what THE Bible says, and the Bible has always proven true! And that no matter what, THE LORD will be Glorified! 

I prayed that THE LORD would protect her family as they travel down and that HE would comfort them all the way over here. I then said, “LORD if you are going to give her a second chance, wake her up before her parents get there.” 

I felt the agreement of faith between us all in the prayer!  

Today at the center, as we were having a Powerful time with THE LORD with Mujeres de Influencia Ministry who came to minister and fellowship with our Patrons, our patron (her boyfriend) called me over. I saw a rested face and a soft happy smile. As I got closer he told me, “Rosalind, she woke up!” I was like, “OMG!” He was permitted to stay there by her side overnight (Thank GOD) until her parents arrived. 

So he went on to tell me that she woke up before they arrived! He said he told her, “Rosalind and Darlene have had us all praying and telling us to have faith that you will wake up!” He then said that he told her what I had said, that if THE LORD woke her up, then he was going to have to help her get close to GOD. 

After he finished giving me all the details of The Miracle, I asked for Everyone’s attention and shared with them the great news! I also reminded him of the importance of doing what he said he would do, come back to JESUS! He agreed! 

For lack of better words, I can not describe the look on everyone’s faces as I cried out, “THE LORD HEARD OUR PRAYERS GUYS!” It was such a special moment! 

I’d like to ask if we can please keep her, her family, and her boyfriend in prayer. She has memory loss, so please help us pray that she recovers fully and that THE LORD reveals HIMSELF to her more and more each day!
