Kansas woman dies, two others injured in Christmas Day head-on crash

Dec. 25—A 22-year-old Kansas woman died after a head on-crash Christmas Day in northeast Kansas.

The incident was reported at 8:41 a.m. along Kansas Highway 7 in Doniphan County. The crash victim was identified as Katlyn Folsom of Troy, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.

A 37-year-old Kansas woman was heading north on K-7 in a 2012 Toyota Tundra, while a 22-year-old Kansas woman was southbound on in a 2002 Chevy Suburban. For unknown reasons, the Tundra crossed the center line and struck the Suburban head on, according to the report.

Folsom died at the scene. She was the passenger in the Suburban. Both drivers were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joe with minor injuries, the KHP said.
