One man injured after Midtown shooting

One man was injured in a shooting near Midtown St. Joseph Sunday afternoon.

The St. Joseph Police Department responded to a shots fired call at North 20th and Jules around 12:08 p.m.. An officer in the area found a vehicle with a bullet hole and the victim inside with a single gunshot wound.

“That person was shot once and was transported by EMS to the hospital,” Sgt. James Tonn said. “I’m not sure on their condition.”

Tonn said the SJPD is working on locating the suspect.
