HELENA, Mo. – Patricia Lee Ueligger, 80, of Helena, Missouri passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at a Wathena, Kansas health care facility. She was born Dec. 21, 1943, in St. Joseph, daughter of Maxine (Bowman) and Fred Dodd.

She graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1962. Patricia married Lloyd Uelliger on May 23, 1964, in St. Joseph.

She devoted nearly 20 years of work in the District Clerk office for Brazoria County, Texas. Patricia loved animals. She enjoyed spending her time dancing and crafting, specifically painting, needlepoint, making clothes and costumes for her kids. She was very social and enjoyed making new friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Maxine and Joe Ketchum Sr.; her father, Fred Dodd; daughter, Diane Ueligger; infant sister, Mary Ketchum; and sister, Barbara Babcock.

Survivors include husband, Lloyd Ueligger of the home; children, Pamala (Dale) Mertsch of Cosby, Missouri, Steve Ueligger of Angleton, Texas, and Brandy Ueligger of Helena; sister, Becky Hickok of St. Joseph; brother, Joe (Donna) Ketchum of Eudora, Kansas; grandchildren, Adam Mertsch, Sterling Wilson and Bryanna Wilson.

Mrs. Ueligger has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials are requested to the Friends of the Animal Shelter – St. Joseph.
