East Buchanan falls to Mid-Buchanan 7-3 in News-Press NOW’s Game of the Week.

The battle of the Buchanan’s was as defensive of a battle as it gets. The first half only saw once touchdown hit the scoreboard, when Dragon quarterback Raife Smith scored with under five minutes to play before half to put Mid-Buchanan ahead 7-3.

The two sides wouldn’t allow each other much in terms of chances to score. East Buchanan had the ball with one last chance to score with two seconds remaining, but the pass fell well short of the goal line and incomplete.

The Dragons complete the perfect regular season at 9-0 with the win over their arch rival. Friday marked the first time the Dragons had defeated the Bulldogs since 2021.

LeBlond defeats Plattsburg 50-14.

St. Joseph Christian defeats Stanberry 60-8.

Central falls to Park Hill South 34-16.

Lafayette falls to Maryville 42-0.

Benton defeats Chillicothe 27-13.

Savannah falls to St. Pius 49-21.

Riverside falls to Centralia 34-28.

DeKalb falls to West Nodaway/Nodaway Holt 42-0.
