St. Joseph residents will be able to get free COVID-19 and flu vaccines at a clinic this Friday.

The City of St. Joseph Health Department will be hosting its annual vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last on Oct. 11 at the Civic Arena. Health officials encourage residents and those employed in Buchanan County who are 19 and older and not pregnant to participate.

The vaccines are free to all participants. Insurance is accepted but not required. The trivalent flu vaccine and Pfizer are the brands administered at this year’s vaccine clinic.

WIC services still will be provided at the health department on the day of the vaccine clinic, but all other services will be closed and resume on Monday, Oct. 14.

Anyone 6 months or older is encouraged to get COVID and flu vaccines.
