This Halloween season, St. Joseph is full of fun activities and events for the whole community.

The East Hills Mall is hosting its annual Boo Bash on Oct. 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., inviting kids to trick or treat at stores and complete a scavenger hunt.

Lindsey Davis, general manager of the mall, explained more about the activities that will be available.

“This year, the trick-or-treating will be at all the various businesses here at East Hills, both inside and outside; it’s all listed on our website and social media pages,” Davis said. “In addition, we’ll have some activities like a temporary tattoo station (and) a coloring station.”

Davis also said the Boo Bash will occur at the same time as the mall’s fall holiday vendor and craft fair, which will be on Oct. 18 and 19 during the mall’s normal hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Bartlett Center is hosting its annual Halloween community party on Friday, Oct. 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

LaTonya Williams, executive director of the Bartlett Center, talked about what people can expect at the event.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Williams said. “There’s lots of games, there’s always a Halloween contest, an amazing haunted house. Our kids actually create the haunted house and that’s always extra cool.”

The theme for this year’s party at the Bartlett Center is “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”

For adults looking to celebrate the spooky season, The Den has turned into a Halloween-themed extravaganza. The bar is decorated from top to bottom, an annual tradition for the business.

“We have it decorated super extravagant,” said event coordinator Brittney Chambers said. “And we also have a cocktail and mocktail menu that is themed as well for everyone to choose a drink off of. And we have a lot of fun events going on for Halloween.”

The Den is open to all ages until 8 p.m., and then it switches to 21-plus.

Starting on Oct. 25, Krug Park turns “creepy.” Creepy Krug will be a weekendlong event for the whole family featuring a haunted forest, vendors, a trunk-or-treat and more.

There will also be a Zombie Pub Crawl on Oct. 19 that benefits the animal shelter in St. Joseph.

There are lots of events happening in St. Joseph and the surrounding area for Halloween, so everyone is sure to find something they’ll enjoy.
