Local man wins award for customer service

On Saturday, Ed Wiebe was named as one of the recipients of the 2024 Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award.

Wiebe was surprised Saturday morning by a crowd of family, friends and co-workers in the St. Joseph Hy-Vee waiting to tell him the news and congratulate him.

Wiebe has been with the St. Joseph Hy-Vee for many years, always providing customer service that goes above and beyond expectations.

Out of more than 75,000 Hy-Vee employees, 13 were selected to receive the award this year, including Wiebe. This is the highest honor that Hy-Vee awards to their employees.

Wiebe will be inducted into the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award Hall of Fame, as well as being given other honors and gifts.
