Brayden “Chewey” Robert Becerra, 24, St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024.

He was born on June 17, 2000, to Ronald Becerra and Stephanie Barron, in St. Joseph.

Brayden attended St. James School and later graduated from Lafayette High School. During high school, he was very active within the football team.

He worked as an operator for Spire Inc. and previously worked as a warehouse associate for Altec.

Brayden enjoyed working out, riding dirt bikes with his friends, racing, fast cars, and attending bike rallies. He also enjoyed travelling and visiting the beach. He was an ornery jokester with a quick wit and great sense of humor, and well known for his big, beautiful smile.

Above all, Brayden loved spending time with his family and his dogs. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies and tv shows with them, including Step Brothers, Dumb & Dumber, Jersey Shore and Shameless.

At the end of his life, Brayden was able to give the gift of life to six individuals through the generosity of organ donation. Because of his selflessness, he was able to provide these individuals with a new beginning. This is the kind of man that his family and friends will remember him being as they cherish their memories of him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin and Mary Barron, and Gradma Betty White; uncles, Dave and John Barron; and cousins, Joseph, Carissa and Kain Barron and Brodee Becerra.

Survivors include his mother, Stephanie Barron (Mitch Gabriel); father, Ronald Becerra (Angel Pompa); high school sweetheart, Paige Sollars; siblings, Zachary Lichliter (Lindsey), Ronnie Becerra, and Breanna Becerra (Bryson); nephews, Knox Searcy, Bryden and Bryant Consolver and Dawson Lake; niece, Brynlee Pinzino; grandparents, Paul and Linda Becerra; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
