Competitive scholarship program welcomes another year of applications

By Leah Rainwater
Applications are open for one competitive scholarship available to high school seniors in Andrew and Buchanan counties.
The Cotillion for Achievement has been offering scholarship applications, enrichment opportunities and leadership training for almost 39 years.
Each year, 16 finalists are selected based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement and a written essay.
The finalists will receive a $1,000 scholarship and are invited to a celebratory banquet in December.
Finalists will then participate in three “Adventures in Achievement” sessions during the month of January, and will also sit for an interview to vie for the top male and female award.
The top male and female finalists will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.
Applications have been made available for all public and private high schools in Andrew and Buchanan counties, and are due on Oct. 18, 2024, at 5 p.m.
