Two subjects flee vehicle after traffic stop near South 29th and Messanie streets

Two subjects fled from a vehicle near that was stopped for a stoplight violation in the area of South 29th and Messanie streets on Wednesday. 

St. Joseph police said they have no reason to believe the subjects are a threat to the public. 

The driver of the vehicle — who police said was cooperative with authorities — was briefly detained for a shot time before being released.
