Running for over 20 years, Voices of the Past brings Unsolved Mysteries at Mount Mora Cemetery, telling stories about people buried in the cemetery. The first stop will be the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.

“You’ll meet the first voice there and you will also have some delicious snacks,” Sharon Kosek said. “They also take a few minutes to take a tour around the museum.”

Kosek will be a featured guest, playing Harriett McDaniel, who was murdered and it was believed to be her husband’s wrongdoing. This will be just one of the stories shared during the Oct. 3-4 event.

“It is a very unique experience, you feel like you’re right there with that person and they come back and tell you their story,” Kosek said. “Very professionally done, we have rehearsal several times and each person is costumed. What that person might have looked like at the time of whatever their situation was.”

About 30 people put on this event and it is full of polished individuals.

“We have different voices or different stories every year. So each time you come back, it’s so intriguing because everybody is researched,” Kosek said. “They’ve researched what the individual did and what happened to them in their lives. So you are learning actual centers of history.”

It will last one hour to an hour and a half and currently tickets are sold out, but a waiting list is made for those still looking to go.
