Jared Shelton is the Chief Meteorologist for News-Press Now’s Stormtracker Weather.

He joined the Stormtracker Weather team in January of 2022 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in atmospheric sciences and geography. Jared has a passion for all things weather, and appreciates the variable climate of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Because he’s from the south, Jared admittedly loves forecasting and experiencing snowfall events.
