MARYVILLE, Mo. – Patricia Ann Hicks, 84, of Maryville, Missouri, and formerly of Maitland, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at Parkdale Manor, in Maryville, with family at her side.
Patricia was born in Stanberry, Missouri, on Dec. 11, 1939, to Everett Eugene and Lela G. (Arnold) Umphry. She had lived in Stanberry, Missouri, Craig, Missouri, and Maitland before moving to Maryville.
She graduated from Stanberry High School in 1957. She had worked as a waitress, and also had worked at the cap factory in Stanberry.
She was a former member of the Maitland United Methodist Church, and the Maitland American Legion Auxiliary. Patricia enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
On July 6, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Stanberry, Patricia was united in marriage to Larry Lee Hicks Sr.. They were married over 49 years before his death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two children, Pamela Ann, and an infant son; two sisters, Kay Gage, and Sue Wilmes; and her brother, Eugene Umphry.
She leaves behind her two sons, Larry L. (Mary) Hicks Jr., Maitland, and Kevin (Tisha) Hicks, St. Joseph; her daughter, Mary Jean Hicks, Albany, Missouri; her brother, Gary (Linda) Umphry, Cameron, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Melody, Dawn, Chasity, Heather, Shannon, Hailey, and Justin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Hicks will be cremated after service and her cremains will be buried later at the Benton Cemetery, Mound City, Missouri.
