The St. Joseph School District announced Monday in an email to district families that three schools will have different start and end times for the 2024-25 academic year.

Ellison, Field and Parkway elementary students will see changes to their schedule.

Carden Park, Coleman, Edison, Ellison, Hosea, Lindbergh and Skaith will be in session from 8:10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Field, Hyde, Oak Grove, Parkway, Pershing and Pickett will be in session from 8:45 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

The district said the change is to ensure more efficient bus routes with its bus company, First Student.

“First Student has assured us that these changes are necessary to improve transportation efficiency and ensure that all students arrive at school safely and on time,” the district said in the email.

Those with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact the district’s Student Services at (816) 671-4006 or First Student at (816) 273-0041.
