Jeremy Honeycutt, 42, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, 20, 2024, in Wentzville, Missouri.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1981, in St. Joseph, to parents Jim and Carole Honeycutt.
He was a graduate of Central High School and later graduated from Missouri Western University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science.
Jeremy began a career with HQ Mobile Installations as a project manager in Webster, Texas. His work allowed him to travel, which he loved.
Generous to a fault, Jeremy was a Christian who was described by his friends as the best person they knew. As a member of the Huffman United Methodist Church, Jeremy began serving the radio ministry at the age of 15. He continued serving Huffman as a member of the sound team for over 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Olin Matter, and Clarence and Dorothy Honeycutt; the love of his life, Brooke McKinney; and his beloved dog, Tucker.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Carole; his sister, Christy Shalz (Todd); niece and nephew, Allie and Carter Shalz; uncles, Bob Matter (Sandra) and Tom Matter (Marcia); aunt, Mary White (Mark); and numerous cousins and other family members who will cherish his memory.
The family will gather with friends 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church, 2802 Renick Street, St. Joseph.
