Mustangs raffle Taylor Swift tickets

Taylor Swift fans better get their friendship bracelets and baseball jerseys ready because the St. Joseph Mustangs will host another Taylor Swift Night on Saturday.
After its successful evening last year with over 6,000 fans in attendance, Mustangs President Ky Turner decided to host another Taylor Swift themed game.
“It’s fun when you get a lot of people together with common interests,” Turner said. “Whether it’s Mustangs, baseball, Taylor Swift, fireworks or just family fun. It’s a fun environment to be in.”
The night will include friendship bracelet trading with the Mustangs and other guests and a post game Mosaic Life Care fireworks spectacular set to some of Taylor Swift’s greatest hits. But it’s safe to say that most fans are looking forward to the artist’s concert ticket raffle.
Each attendee who arrives by 7:30 p.m. will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win tickets to Taylor Swift’s Oct. 25 show in New Orleans. The raffle will also include a $100 Southwest Airlines gift card for travel expenses.
“Last year, Taylor Swift night completely blew away all of our expectations,” Turner said. “And so we’ve kind of changed and and we’re, I think, hopefully a little bit better prepared for this year … We’ve got a new package this year on our website where if you pre-purchase these tickets, then you also get an extra raffle ticket.”
The Mustangs will also be celebrating Missouri Western State University. To celebrate both occasions, the first 250 guests will receive a free Taylor Swift inspired MWSU and Mustangs T-shirt.
The winner of the ticket raffle will be announced at the top of the 8th inning on the field.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to the day, as many have already been sold, and to arrive at Phil Welch early.
