Pitts pitches perfect game for Tenderloins

In a 17-0 win over the Nevada Griffons, St. Joseph Tenderloins pitcher Sam Pitts etched his name in history on Saturday.
Pitts pitched a perfect game in the shutout victory with eight strikeouts, no hits and no walks to help the Tenderloins notch their 30th win of the season. The feat marks the first perfect game ever in St. Joseph Mustangs franchise history.
The Sierra Vista, Arizona, native finished up his freshman season at Cochise College, where he went 6-3 as a starter.
