Fayette County Sheriff’s Log

At approximately 8:50 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance among multiple individuals in the city of Maynard. Fayette County Deputies arrested Christopher Alan Cosgriff, 39, of Maynard. Cosgriff is being charged with disorderly conduct. Cosgriff was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held until his initial appearance and was later released.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joel Longoria Jr., 39 of Fayette, on a valid Fayette County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while barred charge (aggravated misdemeanor). Longoria was transported to the Fayette County Jail and was held on a $2,500 cash or surety bond. Longoria also awaits an initial appearance from a magistrate.

Monday, Dec. 30

At 5:24 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the city of Clermont. The driver Billy Scott Bahls, 56, of Postville, was barred from driving. He was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. A search warrant was then executed and Bahls received two more additional charges possession of controlled substance — methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bahls was held in the jail until his initial appearance and later released on bond. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Department K-9 Unit.
