HELENA, Mo. – John “Tom” Thomas Phillippe, 79, of Helena, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his home from complications of Leukemia. He was born May 2, 1945, in Stanberry, Missouri, son of the late Grace and Harley Phillippe. He married Karla Daniel on Feb. 19, 1971, and she survives of the home. He graduated from Stanberry High School, and worked as a Union Pipe Fitter for Union Local 45, retiring after 50 years of service.

Tom was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, going on long drives, and he liked woodworking and building birdhouses. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family very much.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a baby daughter; brothers, Loren, Ronald, Norvin, Jerry Sr., Richard, and Dennis Phillippe.

He is survived by wife, Karla Phillippe, of the home; daughter, Angela (Scott) Rogers, of Faucett, Missouri; son, Kevin (Traci) Phillippe, of Savannah, Missouri; granddaughters, Taylor (Bryson) Wahlgren, Laycee Phillippe and Jessica Green; great-grandson, Bentley Rodish, and a great grandchild on the way; brothers, Charlie (Linda) Phillippe, Guy Phillippe, Jim Phillippe, George Phillippe, and Steven (SonOK) Phillippe; sisters, Anna Beach, Dolores (Scott) Darrach, and Julia Wood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home, with memorial services following Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home.

Memorials are requested to the National Leukemia Foundation.
