Lester Frank Clark Jr., 77, St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024.

He was born Sept. 13, 1946, in St. Joseph, to Lester Frank Clark Sr. and Lavina Mae (Seddon) Clark.

Frank married Linda Carol Gross on Oct. 8, 1966. She preceded him in death on Sept. 20, 2015.

Frank worked at Missouri Gas Energy for 26 years until his retirement.

He loved to go for long car rides with Linda, and enjoyed the nature around his home and the wildlife it attracted. He liked to feed the wild animals. He and Linda also enjoyed bowling in leagues at Olympia Lanes.

Known for being a little ornery and a lot stubborn, Frank had a natural charm and a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David W. Clark.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Clark; siblings, Dennis E. Clark (Julia), Gary L. Clark, Richard A. Clark (Jean), Yvonne Moores (Timothy), and Bill K. Clark; numerous other extended family members and friends; and his beloved cats, Abby and Max.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Friends of the Animal Shelter.
