Dance Arts Center Performing Arts Company participates in Symposium Talent Dance Competition

The Dance Arts Center Performing Arts Company (DACPAC) participated at the Symposium Talent Dance Competition in April. The studio received the following awards:

Groups:

“Another One Bites the Dust” was a jazz dance performed by Grace Mosiman, Hannah Damery, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Jessica White, Maggie Musser, Mireya Dickinson, Mollie Miller, Quinlan Crowley and Wendy Lippincott. They received a high gold.

• “Big Band Swing’’ performed by Ali Everett, Alice Brewka, Allison Kuhlmann, Annabeth Lippincott, Avery Pasley, Brianna Rosenthal, Briley Lindstrom, Brynlee Safley, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Cara Buhman, Carly Ward, Chloe Buhman, Claire Phillips, Elina Sherman, Ella Ham, Elliana Beck, Ellie Pilgram, Elliot DeSchepper, Emilee Dilley, Finn DeSchepper, Grace Mosiman, Hadley Blake, Hannah Damery, Hannah McBride, Heidi Goettemoeller, Henry Pilgram, Holly Johnson, Izzy Lawyer, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Jessica White, Kaitlyn Sale, Kelly Johnson, Lexi Perkins, Lily Phillips, Lilly Reno, Maggie Musser, Malia Safley, Meredith Fite, Mireya Dickinson, Mollie Miller, Morgan McCauley, Olivia Beaver, Piper Newey, Quinlan Crowley, Rebecca White, Reina Rodriguez, Sam Ward, Sophie Reno, Wendy Lippincott, Zoe Cox and Zoey Hawkins. They received a diamond and placed first overall.
• “Can’t Turn You Loose” was a jazz dance performed by Brianna Rosenthal, Brynlee Safley, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Carly Ward, Ellie Pilgram, Finn DeSchepper, Morgan McCauley, Olivia Beaver, Piper Newey, Sam Ward, Sophie Reno and Zoe Cox. They received a diamond, placed second in their category and third overall. The dance was an Encore participant and received the “Best in Show’’ award.
• “DMX” was a hip hop dance performed by Alice Brewka, Avery Pasley, Carly Ward, Chloe Buhman, Ella Ham, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Lexi Perkins, Lily Phillips and Zoey Hawkins. They receive a diamond, placed first in their category and third overall. The dance was also an Encore participant.
• “Faith” was a jazz dance performed by Elliana Beck, Emilee Dilley, Heidi Goettemoeller, Henry Pilgram and Holly Johnson. They received a high gold, placed first in their category and first overall. They also received the “All 10’s for Teamwork” judges award.
• “Marry the Night” was a jazz dance performed by Grace Mosiman, Izzy Lawyer, Mireya Dickinson and Quinlan Crowley. They received a high gold.
• “Purple Rain” was a contemporary dance performed by Ali Everett, Briley Lindstrom, Brynlee Safley, Claire Phillips, Ella Ham, Elina Sherman, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Kaitlyn Sale, Malia Safley and Olivia Beaver. They received a high gold and placed second in their category.
• “Take the World by Storm” was a contemporary dance performed by Allison Kulhman, Annabeth Lippincott, Brianna Rosenthal, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Finn DeSchepper, Izzy Lawyer, Lilly Reno and Zoe Cox. They received a high gold and placed third in their category.
• “This Will Be” was a tap dance performed by Claire Phillips, Elina Sherman, Ellie Pilgram, Elliot DeSchepper, Hannah Damery, Hannah McBride, Kelly Johnson, Malia Safley and Piper Newey. They received a diamond, placed first in their category and fourth overall.
• “Wind it Up” was a jazz funk dance performed by Ali Everett, Alice Brewka, Avery Pasley, Briley Lindstrom, Chloe Buhman, Claire Phillips, Lily Phillips, Malia Safley, Mollie Miller and Rebecca White. They received a high gold and placed first in their category.

Solos:

Ali Everett performed a jazz solo. She received a high gold and placed fourth in the Symposium Title Competition.

Alice Brewka performed a jazz solo and received a high gold.

Avery Pasley performed a jazz solo and received a high gold.

Avery Pasley performed a contemporary solo and received a high gold.

• Brianna Rosenthal performed a tap solo. She received a diamond, placed first in her category and first overall. She received the “Super Tap” award and was also crowned Jr. Miss Symposium 2024.
• Briley Lindstrom performed a contemporary solo. She received a high gold and placed first in her category.
• Cadence Larson performed a jazz solo and received a high gold.
• Camden Buhman performed a tap solo. She received a diamond and placed second in his category.
• Carly Ward performed a jazz solo and received a high gold.
• Chloe Buhman performed a contemporary solo and received a high gold.
• Claire Phillips performed a contemporary. She received a diamond and placed sixth overall.

• Lexi Perkins performed a hip hop solo. She received a high gold, placed first in her category and fifth in the Symposium Title Competition.
• Lexi Perkins performed a contemporary solo and received a high gold.
• Lily Phillips performed a jazz solo. She received a diamond and placed first in her category.
