Dennis “Red” Cannon, 59, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in an Appleton City, Missouri, health care center. He was born March 16, 1965, in St. Joseph, son of the late Patricia and Phillip Cannon. He was a roofer for Roberts Roofing for over 32 years. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, fishing, playing pool, and spending time with his grandkids.

Red was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Derald, Dean, Danny, and Cecil Cannon; and sisters, Denise and Darla Cannon.

Survivors include: wife, Michelle Cannon, of St. Joseph; son, Joshua (Sarah Dunn) Cannon; son, Kirk Cannon (Marc Jacobs); daughter, Mercede Cannon (Nahum Manville); brothers, Alan, Floyd, Derrick, and Dewayne Cannon; sisters, Donna Farthing and Deanna (Dennis) Thornhill; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2 p.m, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the King Hill Cemetery.
