Lois Elaine (McIntosh) Lyon 88, of St Joseph, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, in St Joseph. She was born June 4, 1935 in Martinsville, Missouri, daughter of the late Oreana and Ivan Gentry. She married Milton Gene on Aug. 7, 1996 and he survives of the home. Lois managed Barbosas Castillos for 30 years and Whitaker Cable. She loved RV camping, making Christmas candy and was a member of Grace Calvary Chapel.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynette Heald; first husband, Russell McIntosh; sisters, Dixie Barbosa, and Daitie Winsworth; and son-in-law, DeWayne Hicks.

Survivors include her husband, Milton Gene Lyon; daughters, Linda (Alan) (Hicks) Price and Pam (Brian) Freeman, Tucson, Arizona; sons, Francis (Coleen) Lyon, Easton, Missouri, and Jerry (Diane) Lyon, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; sisters, Ella Mae Horn and Margaret Wolfe; brother, John Gentry; granddaughters, Shacinda Cook, Kayleigh Wilson, Melanie Garland, Amy Griffin, Penny Orrick, Libby Freeman, Abby Freeman,and Ellie Freeman, grandsons, Austin Hicks, Gideon Freeman, Ben Freeman, and Kris McKinney, and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Rupp Funeral Home.

Funeral services and public live stream 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
