EASTON, Mo. – Gary Leland Heinrichs, 74, of Easton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his home. He was born Sept. 7, 1949, in King City, Missouri, son of Crystal and Eugene Heinrichs. He graduated from the last class held at Easton High School in 1968 and also attended one year of computer courses. In 1969, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served four years, and was stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska, being Honorably Discharged as a SGT.
Gary married Peggy Rhodes on Feb. 14, 1972, in Topeka, Kansas. He worked for 45 years, with the same company which began as Missouri Chemical COOP and Retired as a Master Operator from Land of Lakes.
Gary enjoyed fishing and wood working. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the American Legion Post 393 and Freeman Chapel Church.
Gary was preceded in death by father, Eugene Heinrichs, and sister, Twila Ellington.
Survivors include mother, Crystal Heinrichs, of Easton; wife of 52 years, Peggy Heinrichs, of the home,; children, Jimmy (Traci) Heinrichs, of Agency, Missouri, Johnny (Kristen) Heinrichs, of Easton, Jason Heinrichs, of Helena, Missouri, and Jennifer (Keith) Kline, of Osborn, Missouri; brothers, Dale Heinrichs, of Easton, and Guy (Stella) Heinrichs, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Jonathon (Alanna), Alexander, Eric, Nikita, Hunter, Drake, McKenna, Kevin and Cody; great-grandchildren, Emily, Tyler, Marshal, Bentlee, Andrew, Scarlett and James.
Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Pastor Vern Middleton, officiating. Mr. Heinrichs will be cremated following services.
